Invincible Army marches on to Commonwealth Cup
Field sizes may have been a little thin for Ascot’s opening Flat fixture of the year but there was a distinct air of quality about Invincible Army’s demolition job in the Pavilion Stakes, with his rivals not lacking in potential.
Often the bridesmaid, albeit at a very high level last year, Invincible Army stole the show on his return, and his comfortable length and a half win had bookmakers shortening his odds to single figures for the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup over course and distance next month.
