Imaging gets up late to give Weld a happy ending

A mildly frustrating afternoon for Dermot Weld at least had a happy ending as Cork staged the one Flat card of their three-day Easter festival.

The trainer had three second-placed finishes but the Khalid Abdullah-owned Imaging stayed on strongly in the three-runner mile conditions race.

Under Declan McDonogh, it didn't look terribly promising for the son of Oasis Dream early in the straight as he had some ground to make up on front-runner Ship Of Dreams, who didn't appear to be stopping.
