Ryan Moore, very much a name, rank and serial number man, could never be filed under "easily impressed".

But after landing the Dewhurst on US Navy Flag, he returned to the winner's enclosure, dismounted, turned to Michael Tabor and was overheard to say: "How does he do it?"

The smart-ass answer to that question is "routinely". Aidan O'Brien's Ballydoyle quartet were first, second, third and fourth. After his Arc 1-2-3 last year, nothing the bespectacled one does nowadays comes as a surprise and this was his 24th Group 1 of the season.
