Horses to note from Easter Monday at Fairyhouse
It goes without saying that Burrows Saint was the star of the show and could progress into a Grade 1 performer next season, although the Grand National at Aintree might prove his ultimate aim. Given the amount of ground he gave up racing wide, Bellow Mome could prove to be nicely treated off a mark in the mid-130s should he have the Galway Plate on his agenda. On a lesser note, Jon Ess travelled like the winner for a long way in the opening 2m handicap hurdle and could strike on decent ground off his current mark. A strongly run contest with a big field over the minimum trip brings out the best in him.

Goose Man is one to keep an eye on after going down fighting behind Sizing Rome in the handicap chase. Tom Taaffe's seven-year-old remains lightly raced with just 12 runs, six of which have come over fences. His outing here was his first over the bigger obstacles since he fell at the first fence in the Paddy Power Chase, and it confirmed the impression he has it within his range to land a decent pot yet. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him have a big say in something like a Galway Plate come the summer.
Richard Forristal, Irish editor
Whisperinthebreeze ran better than his well-beaten ninth place finish in the Irish Grand National suggests. The Jessica Harrington-trained six-year-old travelled and jumped beautifully for three-quarters of the marathon race but emptied quickly when jockey Paddy Kennedy asked him to stride on after the 15th fence. The 3m5f trip may just stretch his stamina and it is also worth remembering he has won over 2m5f on good ground too, so he is clearly not short of pace. A step back in trip and a return to better ground should see him in a better light.
