It might be almost 300 miles away from his yard in North Yorkshire but Mark Johnston seems to have found a new home course this year, after Reggae Runner gave him his eighth Lingfield winner from just 15 runners.

Following up Friday's success with Bay Of Naples, the three-year-old was his only representative here and made all to get off the mark by two and a half lengths on his third start to boost Johnston's strike-rate at the track to 53 per cent, with a significant level-stakes profit of +£35.04.

Franny Norton was in the saddle and left in good spirits, with the jockey off on a well-deserved break ahead of the start of the Flat season.
