Job done. That was how trainer Henry Daly summed up the hard-earned victory of Head To The Stars in the feature 3m handicap chase at Ludlow.

Daly is based only a few miles from the Shropshire course and declared afterwards: "This is what British jump racing is all about as the race was run to honour Forbra, who won the Grand National back in 1932.

"My old boss the late Captain Tim Forster used this race as a prep for Well To Do before he went on the land the Aintree showpiece in 1972, so there is a lot of history there and it’s a race I have always had in mind.
