Punchestown is Willie Mullins' playground and he didn't half enjoy himself this week. Hardly anybody else got a go on anything. It was pure, unadulterated domination.

Noel Meade said of the now 15-time champion trainer: "He was the easiest man to find all week – he's spent the week in the winner's enclosure. All you had to do was look down and there he was. After nearly every race."

Meade wasn't exaggerating either. He was indeed there after nearly every race. Mullins had runners in 34 races at the 2021 Punchestown Festival; he won 19 of them for 14 different owners and 11 different jockeys. Those are the bare facts, but there was more to it than just facts.
