Jockeys staged a guard of honour for Seamus Buckley as he bowed out as Goodwood's clerk of the course after 23 years.

The sun came out at the track's final meeting of the season as a presentation was made to the man who has helped make Goodwood one of the finest racing surfaces in the country.

The crowd around the winner's enclosure let out three cheers for the 65-year-old former jump jockey who earlier had lunch with fellow racecourse clerks, got to announce the result of the 1m4f handicap, and ended the afternoon by making the final weighed-in call.
