Hathiq back on track at Tipperary with Flying Five on the agenda

After heavy defeats in the Epsom Investec Dash and Rockingham Handicap, a Group 1 entry on Longines Irish Champions Weekend may have looked a touch ambitious for the Denis Hogan-trained Hathiq.

But the well-regarded sprinter bounced back to form in no uncertain manner at Tipperary on Sunday.

The 90-rated performer defied top weight and traffic problems to run out a smart winner of the €25,000 Follow Tipperary On Facebook Handicap in the hands of Rory Cleary at 9-2.
