There's nothing like a season-long battle for the title to keep everyone interested to the final day.

Remember those tussles on either side of the Irish Sea: Nicky Henderson v Paul Nicholls, Willie Mullins v Gordon Elliott, each man scrapping for every pound or euro right to the death?
