North Hill Harvey speared Sunday's Racing Post Arkle Trophy Trial by an easy 18 lengths, having spent more time in the air over the last 48 hours than one of those space stations in which various adventurous types spend months orbiting the earth.

On Saturday, Harry Skelton schooled him and he banked one, earning a 'could do better' report from his trainer.

He last banked one in Altior's Supreme of 2016 when still in with a chance of a place, so this aberration was a touch of rot that needed to be stopped.
