Harry Cobden stole the show on what many consider to be the key opening jumps meeting of the season as he teamed up with his boss Paul Nicholls with a double on Posh Trish and Grand Sancy, his first winners since returning from a neck fracture in June.

After champion trainer Nicky Henderson struck with Pym in the novice hurdle that stable star Altior had won three years ago, it was Cobden who announced his return in style.

The teenager was in a restrictive neck brace halo for 12 weeks as a result of a fall at Market Rasen at the start of June.
