Harrington has the last laugh with 471-1 treble as Court rules in mares' bumper

This is a day usually dominated by Gordon Elliott, but Jessica Harrington rained on his annual parade with a 471-1 treble, which was completed by Barrington Court in the concluding Listed mares' bumper.

The Navan nightcap is traditionally one of the hottest mares' bumpers of the season. Augusta Kate won it in 2015, so for Barrington Court to rule by ten lengths stamps her down as a seriously talented female.

Winning jockey Mark O'Hare was certainly impressed and said: "She was great. Once I gave her a squeeze to go through the gap she just took off. She is very good I'd say. You could not fault her. I actually fancied her coming here. She just used to spoil her chance last season by being keen, but she has obviously matured a lot over the summer."
