Hamilton's Nuts Well flies the flag for smaller yard in £40,000 feature

Trainer Ann Hamilton and her husband Ian like nothing better than grasping a handsome prize from the clutches of the bigger stables and they did so again courtesy of Nuts Well.

The seven-year-old belied his lack of experience as he saw off four rivals to secure the £40,000 2m1f handicap chase.

The trainer and her husband have just five horses in their yard at Hexham but have already enjoyed plenty of big paydays, recently with Nuts Well’s half-brother Runswick Royal.
