Those who backed Mehronissa when she was beaten favourite for a Class 4 handicap at Windsor last August have had to watch as the filly has won three times off progressively stiffer marks since.
And the four-year-old rubbed further salt in the wound as she made a successful step up in grade to land the £50,000 EBF Stallions Highfield Farm Fillies' Stakes, the richest race of the year at Pontefract.
