Greatrex stunned by Attest price as he plots Harden return

The only thing that surprised Warren Greatrex about Attest’s victory in the 2m handicap hurdle was the horse’s starting price of 20-1.

After the four-year-old had seen off Hill Fort by a length and three-quarters, the trainer declared: “How did he start at that big a price? There was nothing wrong with his previous win at Stratford and we fancied him to go very well again.

“I must admit he had disappointed me early doors as he took a while to get the hang of things, but he has now won two on the trot. The likelihood is we'll keep him going for a while longer now as it seems silly to pack him off when he's in such good form.”
