Greatrex smiling again after Sheehan and Audacity advertise bumper talents

Warren Greatrex recorded just his 11th winner of what he called a "bloody slow" season when Audacity won the bumper but the trainer was forced to wait to savour the Listed success as the stewards staged an inquiry.

That, thankfully for Greatrex, came to nothing and the Lambourn resident said: "I think the ground has caught us out a bit while, over the Christmas period, I had Minella Examiner in front two out and three clear at Wetherby who fell; Star Of Lanka ran a cracker to be second at Kempton and I think Richard Johnson would be the first to admit La Bague Au Roi should have won at Doncaster last week - he doesn't get angry, but said he messed up.

"Then Emitom comes here today and doesn't jump a hurdle. I can't do anything about that as he'd schooled well at home."
