Carmarthenshire looked to have been graced with a touch of star quality when Emitom powered to victory in the 2m4f maiden hurdle.

Never off the bridle under the guidance of Gavin Sheehan, the four-year-old eased his way into contention in the home straight before producing an excellent leap at the last to secure victory in his first start over hurdles.
