The Randox Health Grand National is the dream for Carole's Destrier, who snapped a losing run stretching back three years when storming home under an inspired Robbie Dunne ride in the Betway Mandarin Handicap Chase.

Trainer Neil Mulholland was delighted with the ten-year-old's performance and indicated the Aintree highlight would be the plan for the apple of owner Carole Skipworth's eye, who is 66-1 with Paddy Power for jump racing's biggest prize.

"It's great for Carol, who lives 20 minutes down the road. She's had him since he was a three-year-old," said Mulholland, who praised Dunne and groom Maisie Bush for their roles in the success.
