The Gold Cup is under consideration for the progressive Dal Harraild, who after a below-par reappearance run showed his true colours with a decisive win in the 1m6f Grand Cup Stakes for Paul Hanagan and William Haggas.

Stepping up to the trip for the first time, he came from off a muddling pace to win in fine style by three and a half lengths from Nakeeta and Seamour.

Although there are no firm plans, Haggas, who trains him for St Albans Bloodstock, wasn't ruling out a tilt at Royal Ascot.
