Glamorous times for Harris as he prepares for Chantilly trip

Ron Harris is gearing up for an early start on Sunday as he prepares to saddle his first runner in a Group 1 when Just Glamorous takes on some of the fastest horses in Europe in the Qatar Prix de l'Abbaye.

Harris and Just Glamorous, winner of the Group 3 Prix du Petit Couvert over this year’s Abbaye course and distance earlier this month, will leave their yard in Monmouthshire, south-east Wales, at 2am to arrive at the course for noon before Harris bids for the biggest success of his 16-year training career.

“Everything, touch wood, is spot-on,” said Harris yesterday. “He’s done everything as he did before he went last time and we’ll be leaving at 2am to take the ferry across and should be there for midday.”
