Who needs a claim? On the day that French authorities gave women riders a weight allowance, Gina Andrews showed she's more than good enough to beat the men on level terms.

The former champion lady point-to-point rider celebrated her 25th birthday in perfect style with a feature race success.

She produced Actinpieces to hit the front just after the final fence in the £11,000 mares' chase, capitalising on leader Total Asset's blunder, and went on to score by three and a quarter lengths.
