Gamble landed as Ballybough Nora strikes for in-form Scott

There were plenty of cheers from a holiday crowd in the glorious sunshine as Ballybough Nora roared home to win the 3m2½f handicap hurdle to land the gamble of the day.

The six-year-old went off 2-1 favourite having been as big as 8-1 in the morning and justified that support under an astute ride from Matt Griffiths.

Ballybough Nora was towards the rear of the field early on before gaining ground on her rivals with some beautiful jumping and taking control after the last to deny Set List by two lengths.
