Future bright for Cox sprinter Dark Power

Clive Cox appears to have unearthed yet another sprinting star after Dark Power proved too powerful for his five rivals in the feature 6f handicap.

The Lambourn trainer has again tasted sprint glory at the highest level this season with Harry Angel and, while his stablemate has some way to go to reach his high standard, up is certainly the direction Dark Power is heading.

“He’s progressive,” said Cox. “He was up 9lb for his last win and this was a nice prize and stepping stone. It was positive to see the progress we hoped he had, and he’s really growing into himself.”
