Fry enjoys one-two as Fehily denied comeback winner by Litterale Ci

It may not have been the dream scenario of a dead-heat for Harry Fry in the £20,500 2m5½f handicap hurdle, but it was not far off as Litterale Ci narrowly denied Noel Fehily a comeback winner on stablemate Serosevsky.

Fehily returned from four months on the sidelines after a fractured C7 vertebra in his neck from a fall at Punchestown in April but had to settle for second to the Aine O’Connor-ridden Litterale Ci, who prevailed by half a length.

O’Connor, sister-in-law of Fry, has partnered the JP McManus-owned five-year-old to her four wins in Britain since December.
