Frost confusion causes mass of non-runners

On a day of differing opinions as to the state of the going, a proliferation of non-runners affected the later races after some of the jockeys claimed it was on the fast side in places.

Results and analysis

One notable absentee was the exciting Briery Belle, one of four taken out of the Listed mares' chase, and her trainer Heny Daly said: "All the lads I've spoken to, Tom [O'Brien], Richard [Johnson], Scu [Tom Scudamore] and Richie McLernon said it was on the fast side in places.
