Ballywood ran out an impressive winner of the day's feature chase with his first success since moving to Alan King.

Having won twice in France, the four-year-old had been well behind in three outings over hurdles for King but he took well to fences and held off the late charge of Capeland to land the 2m2f chase by half a length.

Wayne Hutchinson, enjoying his 50th winner of the season, said: "He seems a different horse with a fence in front of him. He's been slightly disappointing since he arrived from France but took a big step forward today.
