The remarkable story of Frankel continues. On what was the fourth anniversary of his Juddmonte International victory his son Senator upheld his tremendous record as a sire.

Of his progeny's combined 25 runs in Britain, Ireland and France, 20 have resulted in a win or place, Senator's success being the 14th victory.

Sent off at 4-6 to follow up his debut win at Leicester, he travelled well under Tony Hamilton, who needed only to shake him up to get the better of dual selling winner Racemaker, who seemed to show improved form on his first run for Andy Crook after being bought for £10,000 after his second success.
