Five months after she was in attendance to give the royal seal to Musselburgh's bicentenary celebrations, the Queen enjoyed a winner at the course when Brian Hughes brought the Charlie Longsdon-trained Forth Bridge home in front in the £20,000 juvenile hurdle.

After the 30-100 favourite had beaten Warp Factor by a neck to give Longsdon his first royal winner, Hughes said: "He's a nice big horse and he liked that decent ground. He's a lovely prospect and was a little green in front over the last but I was always going to win."

Menzies spree goes on

Trainer Rebecca Menzies is in fantastic form and the Tony Kelly-ridden Royal Macnab supplied her sixth win in a fortnight, including one on the Flat.
