Victory in the Coral-Eclipse aboard Enable capped an amazing 37-day run for Frankie Dettori, during which racing's most recognisable star has collected six Group 1 victories. Here we revisit those wins.

Oaks, May 31

While not without her supporters for the Oaks, Anapurna flew somewhat below the radar in the run-up to Epsom and looked beaten a furlong out as Pink Dogwood loomed large. Under an all-action Dettori, John Gosden's filly rallied along the inside rail with 100 yards to go to nail her Aidan O'Brien-trained rival by a neck. The victory gave Dettori his fifth win in the race and advertised the perseverance that supplements his undeniable panache in the saddle.

Prince of Wales's Stakes, June 19

Dettori took over from regular partner Ryan Moore aboard the admirable five-year-old and duly delivered a masterful ride in the driving Ascot rain. Moore could only look on aboard runner-up Magical as Dettori committed the son of Sea The Stars two furlongs from home into a position from which the pair would never be caught. The win represented a first Group 1 victory for Crystal Ocean after a pair of runner-up finishes in 2018.

Gold Cup, June 20

A horse with whom Dettori's association is fundamental, Stradivarius lined up for the Gold Cup on the brink on immortality. Meanwhile, Dettori was on the crest of an irresistible wave having ridden the first three winners on day three at Royal Ascot to have bookmakers running for cover. The commanding victory, achieved thanks to a faultless ride, was arguably the crescendo of the entire royal meeting.

Commonwealth Cup, June 21

A Group 1 winner as a juvenile, Advertise disappointed in the 2,000 Guineas. However, trainer Martyn Meade and Dettori were confident a drop back in trip to 6f at Royal Ascot would bring about improvement – they were fully vindicated. Dettori pulled the strong-travelling Showcasing colt to the centre of the track before pressing the button a furlong out en route to victory by a length and a half. Dettori heaped praise upon the trainer after the race, but the confidence and skill of the ride deserved equal recognition.

Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud, June 30

A perennial bridesmaid at the top table over the last two seasons, Coronet's moment in the sun finally arrived at Saint-Cloud with Dettori inevitably pulling the strings. It was the jockey's ninth ride aboard the grey and the pair's hard-fought success by a short neck from Ziyad showcased Dettori's ability to grind out victory when faced with adversity.

Coral-Eclipse, July 6

Partnering racing's darling on her return to action over an arguably inadequate trip against race-fit rivals would be too much pressure for some, but not Dettori. The partnership, successful for the tenth consecutive time, never looked in trouble with Dettori allowing Enable to pull herself into a position from which her superior stamina would render her unassailable. A sixth Group 1 in 37 days and the first of the season aboard Khalid Abdullah's star mare.
