First Flow keeps Cheltenham winning pair Bailey and Bass on a roll at Carlisle

Kim Bailey is not afraid to send a decent prospect to the Cumbrian outpost and his First Flow added a touch of class to a run-of-the-mill card when making all in the 2m novice chase.

The 1-16 chance defied a double penalty in smooth fashion to complete a hat-trick over fences under David Bass, on the mark again for Bailey after their Cheltenham Festival success with Imperial Aura.

First Flow has enjoyed a significantly busier campaign than last season and Bailey explained: "First Flow has had a great winter as he's had the heavy ground he needs. That wasn't the case last winter, which is why he only ran once.
