Two runners, two winners – that was Peter Bowen's day, as the Pembrokeshire trainer took the two handicap chases on the card with Kinari and Wadswick Court, who were both ridden by his son Sean.

Kinari was a horse that no one wanted to buy at the sales in May and he returned after a break of 300 days to win the 3m event, though he did it the hard way, for he was being firmly ridden from the third last.

However, he gradually worked his way into the race despite his saddle having slipped back and got up to win by half a length.
