'Filly for the future' Archer's Dream upsets the odds with debut win

Archer’s Dream made an eyecatching debut when winning a competitive 6f fillies’ novice stakes for trainer James Fanshawe.

Running in the colours of the Fred Archer Racing syndicate, who also own Group 1 winner and stable star The Tin Man, Archer’s Dream kept on strongly to finish a length and a quarter clear of Tapisserie.

“We’ve been looking after her at home but had to watch the firm ground,” said Fanshawe, who had won the same race last year with Indian Tygress.
