It was like ladies' day for horses on the Rowley Mile where there were double-figure fields for the culmination of a new fillies' handicap series.

The most impressive performance of the four contests was put up by Muffri'Ha, who made the majority of the running to land a gamble (11-2 favourite from 8-1) in the mile handicap.

Winning trainer William Haggas was one of the those at the meeting when the series was announced at the Jockey Club Rooms in Newmarket back in the spring and hailed the idea a success.
