Fehily double aboard Molly Carew and King Roland tees up the rider for festival

Noel Fehily has endured a frustrating stop-start beginning to 2019 but a double aboard Molly Carew and King Roland cemented his well-being with the Cheltenham Festival just under two weeks away.

The Harry Fry-trained King Roland was all the rage for the concluding 2m bumper and the 4-9 favourite came from last to first under a trademark ride, only having to be shaken up close home to get the better of Stick With Bill.

Fehily said: ”You never really know what you are taking on in bumpers but we like the horse a lot and he has won under a penalty which is never that easy to do. There is no reason why he can not go on from this victory.”
