I'm always a little wary of going overboard because it can come back to bite you, but 9-4 sounds ridiculously short.

Pinatubo is head and shoulders above any other juvenile in Britain at this stage, but there's a long time between now and May 2020, and you have to go back to 1999 to find the last time an outright Godolphin trainer saddled the winner of the 2,000 Guineas.

Charlie Appleby appeared to have a leading contender for the race after Emotionless won the Champagne Stakes in impressive fashion at Doncaster in 2015 only for him to flop in the Dewhurst and miss the race the following year. That is a prime example of what can go wrong between now and next May.
