Excelebration Stakes procession for frighteningly quick Yulong

Michael Halford may not have trained a faster juvenile than Yulong Baobei, who put in a quality performance to land the Listed Excelebration Tipperary Stakes.

In the hands of Shane Foley, the daughter of Choisir burst from of the stalls, travelled within herself until a furlong out and then produced an explosive burst of pace to clear away inside the final furlong for a near-four-length success with the remainder strung out behind.

It also left Halford bemoaning the lack of opportunities for juveniles over the minimum trip.
