Evergreen Regal Flow rolls back the years to rule in the marathon feature
Given the inclement conditions this month, Ask The Weatherman would certainly have been a topical winner of the 3m4f handicap chase but it was not to be as he faded out of contention behind Regal Flow.
The Bob Buckler-trained winner once again showed he is still a force to be reckoned with when the mud is flying and the 11-year-old kept galloping all the way to the line for conditional rider Sean Houlihan.
Veteran Regal Flow has certainly built up a good relationship with Houlihan as the pair have now clicked three times from seven starts, and Buckler will be keen to keep the combination together as long as he can find soft conditions over a distance of ground in the remaining weeks of the season.
