After Churchill made Aidan O'Brien the most successful trainer in 2,000 Guineas history, the Ballydoyle genius might have been said to be in eighth heaven. When it came to the Dunaden Jockey Club Stakes, Seventh Heaven was more than good enough.

Although O'Brien has enjoyed enormous success in Newmarket's colts' Classic, he had never previously won the Group 2 middle-distance feature that is a chief supporting act.

That changed when Seventh Heaven, so dominant last summer in the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks, justified 4-7 favouritism with impressive simplicity under Ryan Moore.
