Eoin McCarthy and Gearoid Brouder combine to great effect with double
Eoin McCarthy and Gearoid Brouder were left singing in the rain at Limerick on Tuesday after Blanketontheground and Moonlight Girl powered home in the testing conditions to bring up a memorable double.
The heavy going, which could have just as easily been described as swampish, was no hindrance to Blanketontheground, who was breaking her duck at the 12th attempt on her debut for McCarthy in the 2m rated novice hurdle.
Given a patient ride by Brouder, Blanketontheground picked up the running before the second-last and, despite making a mess of the final hurdle, had too much in reserve for More Info.
