Enable surpasses previous Yorkshire Oaks rating with imperious win

Enable may have faced a straightforward task but she ran right up to her best performance this year to win the Yorkshire Oaks, giving Magical a bigger beating than in the Eclipse and Breeders' Cup Turf to return a Racing Post Rating of 127+.

Having had just three-quarters of a length to spare over Magical at Sandown and Churchill Downs, Enable showed her superiority in extending that margin by two lengths at York, running up to her King George form to give her rival the 4lb beating their pre-race figures suggested.

This was an 11th straight 120+ RPR from Enable and she could yet get back to her three-year-old peak RPR of 129, but given her dominance it's hard to see anything pressing her to that level and it would likely take a wide margin win in the Arc to see her improve on this year's figures.
