Subsequent dual Grade 1 winner We Have A Dream put the first running of the 2m juvenile hurdle on the map a year ago, and Elysees made a good fist of following in his hoofprints.

The former winning stayer on the Flat got better the further he went when going clear on the furlong-and-a-half run-in to slam Isaac Wonder by 12 lengths.

Successful trainer Alan King was also sporting his owner's hat in the winner's enclosure as part of the Elysees partnership, though was not getting carried away.
