Dubai date beckons after Wissahickon proves king of the sand in Winter Derby

A plan hatched immediately after last year's Cambridgeshire came off in style when Wissahickon completed a five-timer in the Betway Winter Derby, in the process earning a potential tilt at the $6 million Dubai Sheema Classic on March 30.

While the obvious next step would be the Betway Easter Classic on Good Friday, trainer John Gosden is not ruling out the George Strawbridge-owned four-year-old lining up on Dubai World Cup night at Meydan.

Gosden said: "We could freshen up and wait for the Betway Easter Classic [on April 19], but there's some talk about World Cup night in Dubai, so we'll see.
