Burgess Dream rallied at the death to beat Big Time Frank by a nose in a photo finish after the 2m7½f handicap chase.

The nine-year-old picked up in the dying strides under a beautifully timed ride from David Noonan, who positioned the 9-1 shot well on the inside of his rival.

“This is the closest finish I’ve been involved in and I went through every emotion in 30 seconds,” said trainer Anna Newton-Smith, “I was standing behind the finish line at the end and really thought we’d been beaten by a nose.
