Dream comes true for rookie owners on a day to remember

Ultimate Dream fulfilled the ambitions of rookie owners Brian and Yvonne Cosgrove as they celebrated their first success when the five-year-old cruised to victory in the staying handicap hurdle.

The husband-and-wife team make up half of The Ultimate Dreamers in whose silks Ultimate Dream runs and is a first foray into ownership for the couple from Cheltenham.

“I always said my ultimate dream was to own a horse and when I retired I thought it was about time,” said Brian. “Edward Gillespie, a friend of ours, introduced us to Jonjo O’Neill and when we said we wanted a young horse who was going to be a chaser this was the horse he recommended. Jonjo said he’s going to be a National horse.”
