Templemore trainer John Ryan has enjoyed a terrific season, embellished mostly by the exploits of Kylecrue and Draycott Place, and it was the latter who added to it in spades by landing the €50,000 Grade B Cork Racecourse Kinsale Handicap Chase.

The way Danny Mullins has been riding lately has been a key to the way the Ryan horses have been running, but it has been a mutually beneficial partnership too.

Mullins kicked on entering the straight and had most of his rivals at it. He subsequently produced three perfect jumps in the straight and his momentum was something his rivals could not match.
