Doyle doubles up as winners continue to flow freely

James Doyle: rode a double on Twitch and Beatbybeatbybeat
James Doyle: rode a double on Twitch and Beatbybeatbybeat

James Doyle has not lacked rides since last month's bombshell news that he was no longer automatically number one for Saeed Bin Suroor, and he claimed a Listed prize for one of his biggest supporters when partnering Hugo Palmer's Twitch to a half-length win in the first running of the British Stallion Studs Beckford Fillies' Stakes.

Doyle has been riding more than his share of winners, including the odd one for Bin Suroor, but his biggest win since came for Palmer on Godolphin's Royal Lodge winner Best Of Days, and it is the Newmarket trainer who will supply him with possibly his best chance on Saturday's British Champions Day card, when he rides Architecture for the first time in the Group 1 Fillies and Mares Stakes.
