Donoghue benefits from late change with De Plotting Shed

It was a day of musical saddles and big-priced winners at Navan on Saturday. With Jack Kennedy sidelined for up to six weeks with a leg fracture, Davy Russell was originally pencilled in to take over the teenager’s mounts, which included De Plotting Shed in the feature At The Races Hurdle.

Unfortunately for Russell, he suffered a sprained ankle following a final-flight fall in the 2m handicap hurdle aboard Crystal Pearl, paving the way for Keith Donoghue to come in for Kennedy’s mounts.
