Donald McCain back in the big time after Navajo Pass bags Grade 2
No wonder Donald McCain was emotional: there's little better feeling than winning a big prize for a long-time owner who has stuck with you through thick and thin.
Tim Leslie has been a huge support to the trainer, whose yard was at the centre of the equine flu crisis early this year.
McCain was choking back the tears after the owner's Navajo Pass showed himself a potential Triumph Hurdle candidate with a gutsy win in Doncaster's Grade 2 bet365 Summit Juvenile Hurdle.
