The decision of Gigginstown House Stud to send Road To Respect to the feature JNwine.com Champion Chase and Disko to the Grade 2 MyCarNeedsA.com Chase might have raised an eyebrow or two, but hey, what do we know?

After Road To Respect was perhaps a bit unlucky not to score, Disko looked convincing in carrying his Grade 1 penalty to victory by half a length over the improving Ballyoisin, a margin that did not do full justice to the winner's superiority.

The dashing grey made maybe one mistake, but other than that his jumping was smooth and Sean Flanagan was looking around for dangers before the second-last. But for a slight error at the final fence and getting a bit tired, he would have won more convincingly.
